CCA NC Donation of Range-Finder Binoculars to NC Marine Patrol

The Coastal Conservation Association of North Carolina (CCANC) made a special presentation to the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries (NCDMF) Marine Patrol at the NC DMF offices in MoreheadCity. As a result of a petition submitted by the NC Watermen United (predominately commercial fishermen) , the North Carolina Marine Fisheries Commission sent a letter to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) asking for several things. They asked for commercial representation on every committee that governs commercially caught fish. They asked that no state that lacks a commercial fishery serve on a committee or vote on the management actions. They asked for certain national standards, but not all,be applied to ASMFC actions.
